Urban noise ‘killing baby birds’

Oh how self-absorbed humanity, in aggregate terms, likes to leave the fact that we are only one small part of a single complex and interdependent system recede conveniently into the distance of a grand propaganda landscape of ‘human innovation’ and ‘scientific and technological progress’.

And yet, we also do enjoy (with reference to the specific example linked below) the songs of small urban dwelling birds, for whom we have created a bitter sweet ‘ecosystem’.
